“One great philosopher has rightly said, ‘Knowledge is the key to success.’ Nothing can be better than books as a source of knowledge. It is a well-established fact that any kind of education remains incomplete without the availability of quality reading material. To fulfill this fundamental need, a well-equipped library with a vast collection of books and reference materials plays a crucial role in the educational structure. Our school library houses a comprehensive collection of over 5000 books, covering the entire spectrum of prescribed courses, as well as general knowledge, literature, science, biographies, and competitive exam resources. The library serves not just as a repository of books but also as a vibrant hub of learning, imagination, and inquiry.
Enriching the library is an ongoing process, supported annually by financial assistance from the State Government. Books and other printed material can be accessed and borrowed under various schemes for a defined period, ensuring equal learning opportunities for all students.
In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the library is also evolving to include digital resources, reference magazines, and e-learning material to promote 21st-century learning skills. Initiatives like the Reading Corner, Book Review sessions, and Library Periods are regularly organized to encourage reading habits and enhance critical thinking among students.
A school library, therefore, is not just a place—it is a culture of learning that builds the foundation for lifelong education.”
